Waffle recipe

Beat eggs in large bowl with hand beater until fluffy. Beat in flour, milk, vegetable oil, sugar, baking powder, salt and vanilla, just until smooth. Spray preheated waffle iron with non-stick cooking spray. Pour mix onto hot waffle iron.


Cook until golden brown. Preheat the waffle iron to the regular setting.

Sift together the flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar in a bowl. In a separate bowl, whisk together milk, egg yolks, and vanilla. Stir in the milk, butter and vanilla.


Ladle the batter into a preheated waffle iron. Store in zip close bags in freezer. Traditionally this was due to them being made with yeast.


Generally today they are made with baking powder, like in my recipe. In order to keep the waffles light, we beat the egg whites separately from the yolks, then, fold them into the batter at the end. Just whisk them all together in a big bowl.
